Full Groom
A full groom begins with a warm hydro bath where your dogs coat will receive a double shampoo scrub and conditioning. Hypoallergenic products are available for dogs with sensitive skin. The dog is then blowdried to open up the coat and prepare the hair for cutting. The body, head, legs, paws and tail are then cut and styled to your preferences. Ears are cleaned out and excess hair is removed to allow air flow and drainage. The hygiene areas are shaved to ensure your dog stays clean when relieving itself. The paw pads have excess hair removed and nails are trimmed as required. Finally a light fragrance is added to leave your pet smelling fresh.
*Please note there are additional fees for dogs with matting or long coats that are being significantly shortened and require a pre shave prior to bathing.

Additional Fees and Add Ons
Minor Matting & Knots
Dogs with matting require extra time to safely remove them. Minor matting is where there are a few matts or knotting in places like behind the ears, tail, hygiene area, paws and arm pits. Minor matts are no bigger than a 50 cent coin, are not connected to other matts and there is space between them and the skin.
Matted and knotted hair needs to be removed before bathing as water can make the matting tighter and harder to remove. Cutting dirty hair also causes blades and scissors to become blunt faster resulting in sharpening costs.

Tidy Up Add On
This add on is perfect for longer coated dogs or dogs with feathering that do not need a full groom. The face, ears, pads and hygiene areas are trimmed, clipped and shaved as appropriate after a de shed or bathing service.

Major Matting & Pelting
Dogs with complex matting and pelting require extra time to safely remove them.
Major matting & pelting is where the matts have become joined all over the body. This can be in sections or entirely. Pelting occurs when the matting has become a single piece (similar to a sheet of felt) and is very close to the skin.
The dog will need to be pre clipped before bathing to remove all matted hair and then finished clipped after bathing, meaning the dog receives two haircuts. This is a very complex and time consuming process as matted and pelted hair pulls skin in abnormal ways increasing the risk of nicking and cutting the skin if precaution is not taken.
Matted and knotted hair needs to be removed before bathing as water can make the matting tighter and harder to remove. Cutting dirty hair also causes blades and scissors to become blunt faster resulting in sharpening costs.

Flea and Tick Infestations
As Mr Clippy operates from a mobile trailer, we are unable to offer general grooming services to dogs with ticks and fleas. This is due to being unable to isolate the infested dog in an area that can be easily sanitised and cleaned in-between appointments. Having an infested dog in the trailer compromises the sanitary and cleanliness standards that can be expected from Mr Clippy.
However appointments that treat flea and/or tick infestations can be made as the last appointment for the day. This includes bathing in a flea shampoo and then using a flea comb to remove the parasites. This appointment is then followed by a deep clean and sanitisation of the grooming trailer which is charged to the client at $100 in addition to the costs of treatment.
It is the clients responsibility to be aware of tick or flea infestations on their dog; and dogs should be receiving regular medications for fleas, ticks and worms. If a dog is received by a Mr Clippy groomer and is discovered to have a tick or flea infestation the cleaning fee will automatically be applied and the appropriate treatment will be offered to the client should they wish to proceed.
Contact Mr Clippy directly to enquire about availability for this service.
Small $100 + $100 cleaning fee = $200
Medium $150 + $100 cleaning fee = $250
Large $ 200 + $100 cleaning fee = $300
X Large $250 + $100 cleaning fee = $350
*Please note these are base fees that include a hydro bath and double shampoo scrub using a flea shampoo, time to let the shampoo sit and then combing out the fleas. Mr Clippy cannot guarantee 100% removal of parasites, but a combination of the shampoo and vet prescribed medication should see the parasites dead. Clients should rely on vet approved medications and treatments for complete eradication and long term health for their pet.
*For long coated dogs there may be additional time required for combing out the fleas or removing ticks and a fee of $20 per 15 minutes will be added. Clippering the coat short is an option that may be more cost effective.
*Mr Clippy holds no responsibility for complications that arise during or after this treatment.
